All of yoga, when understood philosophically, is about better managing polarities, so the more we practice yoga, the easier our everyday lives


Come join JENNA LAMBERT as we practice a yoga sequence that DOES strike a balance between gentle stretching and subtle strength-building.  This is an ALL LEVELS session, so whether you are an absolute beginner or yoga junkie, there will be something for you.  

Everything is cued for you, with many demonstrations, and you are encouraged to go at your own pace.  





Yoga empowers you to ultimately strike a balance—physically, as well as mentally and energetically. As the mind begins to become more one-pointed, our physical practice becomes more stable AND when we do balance postures--even simple ones!--the mind becomes more focused.  It is a beautiful, supportive process.




 






We will playfully practice all sorts of balance asana (yoga postures), such as Vriksasana (Tree Pose) and Virabhadrasana III (Warrior 3),  and more.  


 

You do NOT need to know what these are!  You are gently guided through each sequence with clarity, as you learn to do what feels great for your body.





In addition, you will learn variations to make balance poses easier and more accessible, or more challenging.  You’ll know with confidence when and how to use yoga props (like the wall, straps, chairs, blocks, and more) for more support as well as deep release of physical and mental strain, allowing the body to feel more spacious, strong, and supple. 



This course provides you even more:  Yoga is more than physical exercise; it addresses the strong foundation and integration of body and mind.  


 

This special session lets you get a little taste about the riches a dedicated practice provides you:  
-- core strength 
-- enhance proprioception (awareness of the position of the body in space)
--stress reduction
-- better physical balance
-- mental confidence, 
--overall mobility,  and so much more. 




 



And, did you know that relaxation is as important as exertion?  In this course you will learn about the integrated health and transformation that yoga practice provides, and soon you’ll begin feeling that calm and contentment, in class and even off the mat.   



This taster provides you the crucial experience of systematic relaxation.  After the more invigorating practices, our bodies are ready for deeper release, so that the nervous system and then the mind itself are ready to find more ease, support, and stillness.

Jenna Lambert is a certified Kripalu Yoga teacher (RYT200) and has been practicing yoga for 8 years, and has also mentored under Virginia Hill, AHA Yoga founder, for two years.



Jenna Lambert, MT (ASCP), RYT200, is a clinical laboratory scientist turned yoga instructor, bringing her rational, scientific mind to the mat and joining it with the more intuitive, spontaneous regeneration we all crave.  

As a busy mom of five boys (and grandma of one) she knows how to calm your mind no matter how frantic your day has been, as soon as you walk through the studio doors

Jenna also understands intimately the benefit and necessity of balance:  Attending to the needs of others while remaining attentive to your own needs of body, mind, and spirit; re-learning how to tend to self to better care for others and hold fast to your own inner gifts & vitality; and to recapture your own clarity & confidence concerning where you are ready to go in practice and how to start integrating those lessons in daily life
