Join us for a transformative Yoga for Cancer Workshop Series designed to support and empower individuals impacted by cancer. This series is led by Mindful Yoga for Cancer and Livestrong at the YMCA instructor Kristin Leung. Kristin brings over two decades of experience in movement and mindfulness and offers a holistic approach to wellness tailored specifically for cancer survivors, from the day of diagnosis on.
Workshop Highlights:
Gentle and Adaptive Yoga Practices: Each session includes gentle yoga sequences that are carefully crafted to accommodate all levels of ability and energy. Modifications and props will be utilized to ensure comfort and accessibility.
Mindful Breathing and Relaxation Techniques: Learn breathing exercises and relaxation methods to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and promote a sense of calm and well-being.
Meditation and Mindfulness: Engage in guided meditations and mindfulness practices aimed at cultivating a positive mindset, emotional balance, and inner peace.
Educational Components: Gain valuable insights into the benefits of yoga for cancer recovery and overall health. Discover tips for integrating wellness practices into daily life.
Whether you are a cancer survivor, currently undergoing treatment, or a caregiver looking for ways to support a loved one, this workshop series is designed to provide a gentle, nurturing space for healing and growth.
This series is limited to 10 students in-studio only. We are offering a pay as you wish sliding scale for this series. The suggested rate is $75 for the 6 week. If you are unable to afford any payment, you may sign up without a pass.
