Tara Schuller will be guiding you through the Ashtanga Practice in a different way than you have seen before in any of our past led classes. This class is all about allowing the diversity of ashtanga to come forward in a led class environment. Traditionally we see, explore and experience the infinite possibilities of the Ashtanga practice in the mysore room but not everyone practices Ashtanga in the mysore room.
This class will lighten up the “traditional A types'' Ashtanga practice and encourage, explore and teach variations of the viyasas and asanas of the primary sequence. After all, vinyasa roughly translates as "to place in a special way" and what we commonly refer to as the syncronizations of breath and movement in a flowing sequence . Does this mean that it always needs to be the “traditional”, highly active and dynamic form of practice we commonly see as Ashtanga vinyasa yoga? Maybe not! Come explore, this class is perfect for beginners, those reestablishing their practice, those new to Ashtanga, those who love primary series but feel they no longer want or can do it, those that need a break from the rigor of tradition, those just wanting to breathe fully.
