Yin Yoga
with Kristi Waldron

December 16 (Monday)
at 6:30 pm

Class length
60 minutes

As we age, we can lose mobility in our joints, tone in our muscles, and experience tightening of the fascia.
A consistent Yin Yoga practice can serve as an antidote for tight muscles, lack of mobility, and general pain or discomfort.
The nature of Yin's 4-5 minute holds (with the freedom and encouragement to come out whenever you need) helps to apply a healthy stress to the joints and  a gentle stretch to our connective tissues, creating collagen and elastin which hydrate our tissues and joints. Yin Yoga is an excellent counter to the more physically demanding - or yang - yoga disciplines.
Yin also carries with it the ancient belief of balancing internal organs and improving the flow of prana (chi, energy, life force).
This practice is the perfect way to end your long day, or help balance your other physical activities so you can stay flexible and mitigate injury.

Suitable for all ages and levels
