The Pranayama Meditation Course consists of a 6 weeks course of 12 classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 20:15 to 21:45 in the studio only.
This powerful course uses ancient, traditional teachings that increase the prana (vital energy) level in the body. The ancient knowledge teaches control of this vital energy through the science and regulation of your breath with inhalations, retention and exhalations. Pranayama uses these breathing techniques to direct and expand the flow of prana through the energy channels in the body. The channels energize the body in a similar way the nervous system conducts the body.
Through these breathing techniques, we also learn how to control and balance the high and lows of emotional imbalances. Practicing Pranayama cleans and opens emotional blockages in the energy channels. There are deep relationships between breath and emotion. When we are happy we breath differently, when we are angry we breath differently…
In addition, the Pranayama Meditation Course aids to prevent burnouts and work exhaustion. One becomes fully and consistently energetic.
When practicing Pranayama, your body and mind become balanced. You sleep better, your eyes become brighter, the skin quality improves and you feel lightness in the body, amongst many other benefits.
How does Pranayama effect meditation? You cannot do meditation until body, mind and emotions are in balanced. Through pranayama we prepare your body’s physical abilities and train the mind to fall into the meditative state.
