***POLICY ON MISSING AGILITY CLASSES***

While we understand that things do happen and students may need to miss a class or two during a given session, we do not offer make-up classes for agility. Due to the setup involved and the fluidity of agility training—students are always progressing in their skills no matter their level of experience—it is not possible to offer a class that would make up for what could have been learned during any single missed class. However, we do offer private sessions at the rate of $75 for a 30 minute session and $135 for a 60 minute session.

CLEANING FEE & NOTE ABOUT POTTY TRAINING

Please note there is a $20 cleaning fee for dogs who pee and/or poop inside our Sports Annex. The annex is an all turf facility so clean-up from accidents requires our staff to stop class and use special cleaning implements to ensure no damage is done to the turf while still removing any urine/excrement and lingering odor. Please respect the training ring and potty your pooch before entering the training area.

***If you are not confident your pooch is fully potty-trained, then we ask you to work on that BEFORE joining this class.***

APPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR & TURF CLEANLINESS

We cannot permit shoes that are wet, dirty and/or covered in snow and salt onto our turf.  Weather in Chicago can often be unpredictable so we ask that you bring an extra, clean pair of shoes with you to class. If you have forgotten an extra pair of shoes, you will need to leave your outdoor shoes in the waiting area while you are in class. Feel free to run the course in your socks if that is easiest!

If your pooch's paws are muddy, wet or covered in snow/salt, please make sure to wipe off their paws in our waiting area before entering the turf arena. There are towels available in the waiting area for your convenience.

This six-week class is for students who are new to agility. Your dog must be at least 6 month of age, in good health and have had previous basic training (sit, down, come, stay commands). Your dog must be comfortable working around other dogs and people and also eager to work for delicious food, treats or toys.

In Beginner Agility, dogs will learn basic skills that build the foundation for safe and successful agility runs, including:

-Focus on the owner.
-Introduction to jumping.
-Introduction to agility obstacles.
