Description: Crossing is a handling technique where the handler crosses either in front of or behind their dog to switch handling sides on a course. There are three primary crosses in agility: front, blind, and rear and there are times where one type of cross is the better option over another depending on the course, your dog, and you. This workshop is designed for all skill levels, so, if this is all still very new to you, we will focus on the basics and break down each cross. If you know the basics but need some more practice on timing those challenging blinds or rears or maybe you still struggle seeing which cross would be the best option for you and your dog in a certain sequence when you’re walking a course; we will have several sequences set up to practice what you need when it comes to crosses.
Dogs must be at least 6 months old and have completed a beginner agility class or have instructor approval.
