Are you a pooch parent expecting a HUMAN baby to be joining your family in the near future? Dogs & Storks is a 90-minute presentation that answers the most commonly asked questions and provides insight on dog behavior as it relates to Baby’s arrival. Thoughtful preparation ahead of time is the best way to set your family up for success, prevent conflicts and miscommunication, and lay the foundation for a strong, healthy relationship between Dog and Baby long term!Topics covered will include:
- Does my dog know I'm pregnant
- Dog sensitivities and how to tell if your dog needs more help
- Space and sleeping arrangements
- Training priorities
- Preparing for the unexpected
- Homecoming - how to navigate the first days and weeks after Baby arrives
About the presenter:
Pamela Davis (she/her) is the Lead Trainer at Urban Pooch, as well as a mom and a licensed Parent Educator with Family Paws, an organization that specializes in preparing new and expecting families with dogs for life with a baby. She and her partner have two sons - Ernie, 3 years, and Jack, 3 months - and a very good dog.
