Class Description: Pets experience all the same health benefits from physical activity that humans do: increased performance, decreased risk of injury, lowered stress levels, better sleep habits, and a healthier body and mind! Fitness exercises stimulate both the dog’s brain and body, helping eliminate problem behaviors and curb boredom and anxiety. It’s a great way to build confidence in your dog, and it’s a fun bonding activity! These sessions will guide you and your dog through a full workout; class will begin with a warm-up, progress to working through 3-5 different exercises, and then finish with a cool-down. All dogs will be working the whole time and will rotate through different stations. We will make sure that exercises are challenging, but at an appropriate level for your dog. The focus for each week will rotate between the major areas of the body: core, front end, rear end, but we’ll also do some proprioception and body awareness exercises as well as sport-specific exercises if you’re involved in a sport! Exercises can be adjusted based on your dog’s experience level and your goals, so all pups of all ages are encouraged to join in!
