Pets experience all the same health benefits from physical activity that humans do: increased performance, decreased risk of injury, lowered stress levels, better sleep habits, and a healthier body and mind! Fitness exercises stimulate both the dog’s brain and body, helping eliminate problem behaviors and curb boredom and anxiety. It’s also a great bonding activity with your dog and a fun way to keep them both mentally and physically stimulated during rainy or cold days. This program is designed to help you and your dog develop fundamental canine conditioning skills, including proper form for positions, canine fitness safety, and exercises to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. Your dogs will be acquiring new skills, using muscles they haven’t before, and moving in new ways!

You will start with an in-person evaluation by one of our canine fitness professionals to examine your dog’s posture and movement. They will develop a personalized fitness plan for you and your dog depending on your goals, current activities/sports, and fitness knowledge, and you will then be able to work on your plan at home! Re-evaluations can be done either in-person or via Zoom and are recommended every 2-3 weeks but can be done as often as you want! During re-evaluations, your coach will either adjust the exercises to make them more difficult, or give you new exercises to work on. They will be available by email to answer any questions you may have between visits, and you can also attend office hours with Ashley or Rebekah to work on your exercises in-person.

We look forward to working with your pups and keeping them physically fit and healthy!
