Madison McClintock

Hi! I’m Madison McClintock. I am an independent filmmaker and dye artist and I’ve recently relocated to the Harpswell/Brunswick area from New Mexico. I am currently working on my first feature documentary exploring the connection between craft practice and sense of belonging by following the lives of four Finnish craftswomen over one year.

Working for myself and being new to the area, it felt critical to find a space to create and connect in community. I was drawn to set up shop in ECC for its commitment to bringing people together and emphasising the value of our personal and collective well-being - especially as it relates to how we work in this digitally-dominated world where loneliness is at an all-time high. It feels like perfect synergy to be editing this film on belonging in this space as I nurture it in my new home here in Maine - creative expression and reality eloquently informing one another.

Feel free to say hi if you see me around! You can learn more about my “reason for making” and new film in progress - Her Inherent Belonging - on my website: www.madisonmcclintock.com “ @madisonamcclintock
