Beginner Burlesque

Whether you’re brand new to dance or an experienced performer, this class offers a supportive, empowering space to experiment, embody bold personas, and connect with your inner performer. Dance barefoot ( or if you choose to wear heels, no stilettos please - chunky heels only! Our floors can't handle it)  costumes are encouraged but never required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to shine.

About your instructor: Liza May was named one of Maine’s top dance collaborators of 2024/2025. With unforgettable stage presence & eye catching choreography, Liza May is known throughout New England for her fierce, dynamic style. Liza incorporates hip-hop, modern & burlesque into her movement, providing a fusion style unrestricted by genre. ‘Movement exploration without expectation’ as well as believing ‘practice makes precision’ have been equally important in her dance journey.
