About your instructor:
Henry Jorgensen is a curious naturalist and has experience mentoring teens in wilderness therapy in the Blue Ridge mountains, trip leading in Maine, snorkel guiding in Hawaii, and mushroom production work. He fell in love with contact improv in Asheville, NC, and has been “hooked” ever since. He teaches using the concept of play, with a purpose to pass on the profound growth and healing he’s experienced from the dance form. His passions are sculpture, clowning, pretending he’s a squirrel in the woods, climbing, skiing, and mountain biking. With a Bachelor’s in Service Design from Savannah College of Art and Design he applies design thinking to experimental chapters of his life. He is currently in a movement-arts skill acquisition chapter, studying contact improv, yoga, and circus arts in Portland, Maine.
