Joseph Churchill

Dentista (Joe Churchill) began his capoeira journey in Buffalo NY while he was still in dental school in 2007-2008 with the Capoeira Manginga group. In 2010 he moved to Omaha, Nebraska and trained intensively with Mestre Nô’s Capoeira Angloa Palmares group under the direction of Contramestre Pererê and instructors Ratinho and Pensador. In 2015, Pererê broke away from Palmares to form Capoeira Angola Oxossi (alternatively Vadiação de Oxossi), and his group in Omaha came along for the ride. Dentista moved to Sequim, WA in 2018 and has been tending the Capoeira ember here on the peninsula ever since.
