Steve Maxwell is a true pioneer in American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He was one of the first Americans to earn a black belt under the Gracie family (the Brazilian family that developed Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu) and founded the first Gracie-approved academy on the US Eastern Coast. He is accomplished in his practice; Steve is a multiple-time winner of the Jiu Jitsu Pan American Championship!
He has worked as a strength and conditioning coach of a UFC fighter, and has trained professional athletes from the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Philadelphia Eagles. He has even worked with several government agencies to bring Jiu Jitsu training into the services.
Now, Steve continues to inspire through Jiu Jitsu, mobility, and decades of experience.
