Outdoor Recall

This Adventure will focus on moving our recall skills outside where all the smells, squirrels, and so many other distractions are fighting for your pooch's attention.

Class will take place at Winnemac park, just a few blocks south of the Training & Fitness Center. Please dress for the weather and bring plenty of HIGH VALUE treats for rewarding recall--cheese, hot dogs, etc. This can be in addition to other treats. Just make sure to bring a variety. And don't forget to bring water for your pooch as well.

Together we will practice and progress:

Engagement around other people, dogs, and environmental distractions outdoors
Building on our recall and turn away/disengage cues
Ways to play and use the environment to increase engagement - "chase me", "hide and seek", and "what's over here" games, toys, sniffing, etc.
Recalling off of and past more challenging distractions

Pre-Reqs: Must have passed through Canine Compass Skill Levels 1-3 and/or have equivalent obedience skills.
