After spending many years engaged in endurance sports including long-distance running, cycling, rock climbing and kayaking, I noticed a reduction in my ability to move. In 2006, after an injury which left me unable to move my head from side to side, I attended my first yoga class, I knew that I had come home to yoga when introduced to pigeon pose, Ardha Kapotasana. In 2009 I received a 200 Hr. YTT certification through Inner Vision Yoga
To me, yoga is the foundation of youth and making it accessible to as many people as possible is important to me. My personal thoughts regarding the practice of yoga is that the goal of yoga, if there is one, is to transcend the physical reality through the physical experience.
