Qi Gong is pronounced “chee gong.” Qi stands for one’s own internal
life force energy. Gong means to cultivate. Qi Gong is a traditional
form of Chinese medicine and has been in practice for thousands of
years as a complete practice that benefits the whole entire body.
The Eight Treasures Qi Gong have been passed down through
generations of my teacher, Mao Shing Ni’s family. The Eight Treasures
are a type of internal cultivation, combining breathing techniques,
simple low impact movements, meditation, postural training, and the
use of mental imagery to guide a smooth flow of Qi energy throughout
the body.
The flow of energy releases tension, clears stagnation, stimulates and
strengthens one’s vitality, thus promoting self-healing, and a stronger
immune system. It improves balance and functional movement!

Qi Gong has also been shown to decrease one’s fatigue, anxiety,
stress, and distress.
Anyone can enjoy this practice as it can be done standing, sitting and
with the use of modifications!
