Integrative brain and body fitness training simultaneously targets both brain and physical health. This training involves stimulating activities and exercises designed to boost cognitive abilities like memory, focus, and problem-solving while enhancing physical fitness, including strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. Our In Tandem program is designed for older adults (50+) from the general population, blending non-contact boxing with brain and body exercises to foster new motor skills, sharp thinking, social connection, and resilience. This program runs twice per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Prerequisites:
In purchasing this service, you are confirming that you meet or exceed the minimum program inclusion criteria for our group class activities: 1) you are not experiencing active falls 2) you are able to go to the ground and return to standing without the assistance of another person 3) you are currently able to walk for a period of at least 30 minutes consecutively.
This purchase permits access to the program for a period of 6 weeks and will commence upon your first visit. The program director will contact you following your purchase to help you through the onboarding stage.

Do I need a formal physician’s referral? No
Do I need my physician’s consent? It depends, ages 68 and under will complete a PAR-Q Form that will determine whether a physician’s consent is required. Anyone 69 years or older will in fact require physician’s consent and we provide a form for you to give to your doctor.
Do I need prior sports training of any kind? No

Is there special equipment? Yes, you MUST bring indoor shoes to change into at the front and you can purchase boxing gloves and hand wraps for an affordable price from the front desk.
