MARTINE

MARTINE

Martine gained her Iyengar certification in 2018, she chose to open a small boutique suburban school, Yoga Bloom O’Connor.

Yoga was her tool to recovery after a fractured spine and pelvis in a motor vehicle accident in her 20’s. Motivated to alleviate her trauma with a desire to reacquaint herself with her body, the journey began to pursue a healthier lifestyle, with a focus on yoga and meditation.

GAIK

Gaik holds an Introductory Level 2 Certificate with the BKS Iyengar Yoga Association of Australia after completing her teacher training in 2018 with Alan Goode, a senior Iyengar Yoga teacher and Director of the Yoga Mandir Yoga Institute.

LORENA

Lorena is a longstanding practitioner of yoga. She has practiced with senior Iyengar teachers in the Blue Mountains, Canberra and Sydney and has attended the Ramamani Iyengar Institute in Pune.

SOPHIA

SOPHIA

Sophia (RYT 200) has over 10 years’ experience as an Iyengar yoga practitioner, primarily at Yoga Bloom O’Connor under Martine Peters. She completed her Yoga Alliance 200 hour certification through Elements of Power Yoga in Ubud, Bali with Paul Teodo and Bryon De'Marse. Yoga has accompanied Sophia throughout diverse, challenging and adventurous life chapters. She has practiced at studios in Mexico, Germany, the United States and up and down the east coast of Australia.  Sophia is particularly passionate about guiding her students to develop skill, confidence, ease and discipline in their practice.

JOAN

JOAN

Joan is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher and has been teaching in Queanbeyan since 2014. She completed her teacher training with Alan Goode in 2016 after retiring from teaching Science and Agriculture in High Schools in ACT and NSW.

Joan has travelled to RIMYI Pune India in 2014 and 2019 to study with the Iyengar family. She has two sons and four grandchildren.

BRENDA

BRENDA

Brenda a slow starter in yoga, remembers her first yoga class back in the seventies, “I giggled my way through the class with really no idea what yoga was about. For many years, I tried classes in different styles until finally committing to a dedicated practice after going to an Iyengar class. The first thing I noted was the discipline, dedication of the teachers, I had been looking for this.
