Restorative Yoga is a non-vigorous, deeply calming practice that emphasizes the use blankets, bolsters, blocks and a variety of other props to completely support the body in yoga postures with no muscular effort. We take our time to build and customize the postures in a manner that is beneficial to your body and your needs. During long holds in these fully supported positions, we are able to relax the body deeply, slow the breath, and invite stillness into the mind, initiating the “Relaxation Response” by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system.
