Katy McCann

Katy McCann, RYT 200, Certified Yoga Instructor, Katy has trained and certified in numerous exercise and healing modalities and weaves them together to create space for you to build strength, balance, and mobility as well as awareness, curiosity and autonomy. She takes a whole-body, whole-life approach to her classes. Her teaching style opens folks to feeling both more at ease and deeply challenged in their bodies. Underlying her personal and teaching practice are the questions, “How exactly do I listen to my body?” and then “What can I do to heed its messages?” 


Katy started her movement journey as a professional Middle Eastern dancer,
performing and teaching around New England. She is also certified in Pilates, Restore Your Core®️ (a method for helping heal core/pelvic floor dysfunction), and as a Restorative Exercise Specialist®️ with the Nutritious Movement Institute. She also offers hands-on healing through Thai Yoga Bodywork and Reiki.

In her own practice and studies, she explores self-myofascial release work,
vagus nerve decompression, barefoot shoes and lifestyle, and growing deeper
connections to self and community through myth and fairy tale. She also has a deep and dedicated tarot practice, loves to take long walks, is learning how to lift weights and is currently earning an MA in Clinical Psychology with a focus on expressive arts.
