Teacher Training and Certification Program
200 -hour Program.

The Most Convenient Teacher Training Program in the                                                         Central Valley!

Every Other Sunday,  Start Your Journey Anytime.

Since its inception in 2001, The Art of Yoga School for teachers has set the standard and re-invented the format for a teacher training program. The Art of Yoga was the first school, to offer such accessible training. Wanting the training to
be “family-friendly,” owner and Master Teacher, Debbie Wolski, recognized the need for flexibility and adaptability to
suit each individual's needs. While all the requirements set forth by Yoga Alliance must be met, the speed and duration of the program are customized for each participant. This allows participants who work and have time constraints or families, the flexibility to balance these components, proceeding at a pace that best fits into their lifestyle.
The course is divided into two halves. The first half of the program consists of specialized workshops, held every other Sunday.  Each module is independent of the other and held again every other Sunday. From 9:30 am 6:00pm. During the Holiday months of November and December,  the schedule may shift.
These workshops focus on all the components required by Yoga Alliance including but not limited to, Chakras, Anatomy, Bandhas, Meditation, Asana, Philosophy, Pranayama, adjustments, and assists.
You will also learn how to sequence a class and use effective cueing techniques.
Safety and "listening to one's body" are also key components in the training program. A non-competitive atmosphere is essential, allowing each individual to progress at a rate consistent within their capabilities.
The second half of the program is Asana practice.  Choosing from over 25 classes a week, each participant will seek out their mentor, according to the style that resonates with them. They are encouraged to begin assisting in class and eventually "team teaching" with their mentor, taking small segments of the class while the instructor assists. Scaffolding in this way makes the transition to teaching seamless and more successful.  Students are allowed to accumulate the second half of the classroom hours required,  according to their personal schedules.
“We have had tremendous success with this flexible format,” Debbie recalls. “The majority of the most beloved Yoga instructors in the Central Valley and Modesto area, have been trained by us and several have gone on to open their own studios. We are blessed to serve the community, improve health and quality of life, and share our wisdom with those on the Yogic Path of healing and spiritual growth. "

When there is harmony in the home there is honor in the nation.
When there is honor in the nation there is peace in the world.
