Yin Yoga is a great complimentary class for those with a yang lifestyle or for those seeking a slower paced, meditative practice. Yin takes a Taoist approach exploring the balance in harmony within the physical emotional and mental aspects of ourselves. Breath work is coupled with poses held for 2 to 5 minutes giving each pose time to penetrate the targeted areas. Yin focuses on the connective tissues of the fascia, joints, ligaments and bones. Yin is beneficial for flexibility, relaxation, circulation, nervous system, relaxation and aides in healing injuries.
