Youth Creative Dance for ages 6-8!

Creative Dance gives new dancers an opportunity to experience movement and make choices. Classes will introduce fun themes and fundamental dance concepts, positions, and vocabulary. This introduction will build an increased sense of body awareness, a concern for correct body alignment, and an awareness of personal and general space. Through this work, dancers experience the power to “speak” with their bodies and the joy of expressing a full range of feelings and ideas in constructive and effective ways. Dancers learn to appreciate the expression of others and to function as unique and strong individuals that exist in relation to and in harmony with the community.
