Yin and Restorative Yoga

SUITABLE FOR: Students of all levels from beginner to seasoned practitioners, or anyone recovering from injury, illness or pre & post-natal
PURPOSE: This class takes is a more meditative approach to yoga, aimed at cultivating awareness of inner silence to leave you feeling freer in body and mind.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where poses held of longer periods of time — three to five minutes per pose is typical. The long held postures work to create space in the joints and nourish connective tissues while deeply opening the hips, pelvis and spine. We pair the yin practice with stress-melting restorative poses using props such as bolsters and straps to help you release deeply and comfortably into stillness.
