This workshop explores center space as a physical, conceptual, and intentional proposition. Drawing from somatic practices, body architectures, and principles of opposition, participants will investigate the body as a dynamic axis connecting inner and outer worlds.

Through a guided progression of harness work, contact dance, Gyrokinesis, Qigong, and improvisation, we will explore grounding in suspension, expansion through opposition, and the integration of spirals. Intersection as transformation: our physicality is not fixed, or shielded by boundaries, but continuously changing in relation to gravity, each other, and the universe.

Rethinking core beyond musculature by engaging the central axis (Taiji Pole); the energetic pathway between cranium and sacrum. Inspired by the season, we will also attune to Liver/Wood energy, supporting tendon health, elasticity, and the release of stagnation. This is a space to cultivate awareness within your movement practice, centering on the experience of the self as continuous flow.

We will work according to the individual and group level to manage growth, guide development, and integrate unexpected discoveries. This workshop invites movement professionals with previous or little experience in harness. We also invite visual arts artists to process the work with us and share their perspective of the process.

CONTENT TO BE DEVELOPED:

1. INTEGRATION CIRCLE: Circle to share experiences, questions and embodied ideas during the processes. Supported. Space to dive into reflection and connection.

2. CONCEPTS: Disseminating the concept of “Center Space” physiological architectures, traditionalChinese medicine, and opposition concepts.

3. ALIGNMENT AND OPPOSITION: Exploring somatic systems that support the integrity of movement in suspension and awakening of concepts in our practice.

4. IMPROVISATION AND CONTACT: Softening bodies for interaction with space and each other. Deepen receptiveness.

5. HARNESS WORK, MIX OF WALL AND CENTER WORK AT PACA AND CENTER SPACE AT MARKET HALL: Inspired by lllPosto technique by Wanda Moretti, Lindsay Butcher and Kate Lawrence. As well as inspiration from past discoveries in laboratories and self investigations. Also, an observation and research space will be dedicated to the following points:

• Embody opposition and supporting architectures. Explore the possibilities of groundwork in different levels, discover support in center space.

• Deepen interaction: in relation to others, self, and space possibilities.

• Climbing with pulley systems / open to creativity and exploration
