Cocoon/Nest Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a guided relaxation and meditation technique to awaken the connection between body, mind, and soul. The practice uses a systematic approach to release tension while the body lies still the mind remains active allowing the students to hover between sleep and wakefulness.
This guided meditation class is done while being suspended in soft fabric hammocks. With the help of gravity and the hammocks, we can explore floating and allow space in our bodies without compression of our joints and spine. The silky hammocks are a special high-density nylon that can hold over 1000 pounds each. You can rest lying down, creating a womb like feeling or you can be upright in a supportive holding way.
The hour will be deeply restoring and relaxing. The class begins by finding a place in your comfy cocoon, then you will be lead through a guided meditation. Make yourself comfortable, listen and let the tensions of the day melt away. Absolutely no effort is required.
Join us to experience this amazing Yogic practice while floating on air.
 Do you love the practice of Yoga Nidra but would rather practice in a more traditional form on the floor? You are always welcome.  There are always 4 Nest spaces ( on the floor)  for you to practice this amazing form of relaxing meditation while snuggled in with blankets, bolsters & pillows in your very own Nidra Nest. Please log in and reserve your spot as there are only 4 nest spots each class.

First time to the class? Please allow yourself 15 minutes to fill out paperwork, connect and set up for Meditation, before our start time of 5:30pm.
We offer Cocoon/Nest yoga nidra as a 60-min class consisting of 5 mins of settling into the cocoons/nests, 35-45 mins of guided meditation, 5-10 mins of awakening.
Who's this for? Cocoon/Nest Yoga Nidra is recommended for anyone who needs to deeply relax on a mental, emotional and or physical level. Stress, tension, anxiety and sleep related issues can leave us feeling unbalanced & exhausted. Take some time to rebalance and recharge. Come rest with us at Blue Moon Yoga & Wellness Studio.
