About Intro to Meditation

"Meditation is easy to learn and can be incorporated into any lifestyle or busy schedule," Lilliana says.  "There are many wonderful and effective forms of meditation. I teach Shamatha sitting meditation as taught by the Buddha. Shamatha is a Sanskrit term meaning “calm abiding”. It is the practice of training the mind to be present, settling into the here and now, and letting go."

In this session Lilliana offers instruction on the fundamentals: how to settle into your meditation practice, how to sit, position your body and posture, how to align with your breath (conscious breathing), and how to work with your mind and thoughts.

Ultimately the intent is to help you gain a clear understanding of what meditation is, how it works, and how to start and establish an effective meditation practice.
