Friday’s Happy Hour offers Yin-Inspired yoga taught by Susan Westlund.
In this calming Hatha class, you will hold moderate stretches for longer-than-usual times to open and stimulate the fascia as well as core connective tissue. This slow, mindful approach encourages a sense of well-being while offering a full, balanced yoga practice that builds strength, mobility, flexibility and balance. The practice complements aerobic dance exercises, sports’ activities, and the more “yang” style dynamic yoga practices. Yin-style yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. It is suitable for beginners as well as experienced yogis.
