Learn veneering from start to finish while creating a 22" x 30" veneer piece suitable for a table top or anything you can imagine. You will learn to sharpen and tune your veneer saw, veneer selection and layout, backer, banding, and borders. You will use the shop vacuum press to complete your piece. This class does not include legs or other project pieces. Veneer and consumables included in the price of the class.
Taught by Pete Schlebecker. A professional woodworker with 35 years of teaching experience, Pete was the staff instructor at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine for 7 years, and Veneer work is his specialty. We are fortunate that he has landed in San Diego and joined the SDFWA and Member Shop. Pete is also a contributing author to Fine Woodworking magazine. Learn more at www.peterschlebecker.com.

- A veneer saw- Kunz brand or similar (if a student is left handed they can use my french style saw that can be used right or left handed) https://www.veneersupplies.com/products/Dual-Edge-Veneer-Saw.html
- A roll of veneer tape (without holes) https://www.veneersupplies.com/products/Veneer-Tape.html
- A roll of 1 inch wide 3M Blue tape #2090 (if you have it, else shop will provide)

- Coffee mug and saucer for veneer tape
- Optional if you already have one: magnifying glass for saw sharpening
We also recommend you always bring your shop apron and safety glasses with you to the shop.
