Festool Domino Training and Loose Tenon Joinery
The Domino DF500 is a powerful tool that can significantly speed up the creation of mortise and tenon joints. The Member shop has a Domino DF 500 for shop members’ use. This class will cover the Domino DF500 design, setup, and operation as well as mortise and loose tenon joinery.
Mortise and tenon joinery has been used for thousands of years. Understanding how to properly plan and design mortise and tenon joints is crucial in making joints that are strong and functional. This class covers mortise and tenon layout, size, strength, and function. Many variations of the joint exist, we will be making joints with 2 mortise (the cavity/holes) and one tenon (the piece that goes in the mortise).
Each class attendee will have an opportunity to setup the Domino DF500 and make edge, butt, and angled mortise and tenon joints.
