A one-hour hatha yoga class taught at a slow pace so participants have time to find good alignment and deepen their journey inward. Use of yoga blocks, straps and bolsters is demonstrated and several options for poses are instructed. Each class has a variety of basic seated, standing and reclined poses with gentle transitions. Some breath work is used at the beginning or end of most classes. A sprinkling of yoga philosophy and a poem or two add to the class. Beginners will find this class accessible and those who want or need a gentle class will love the sequencing of poses designed to minimize getting up and down. A little challenge, a lot of fun, and a generous relaxation to end the class will leave you refreshed and renewed.
