Active Yoga is a one hour class where we focus mainly on asana - the physical postures of yoga. There is a focus on both strengthening and stretching movements with some of the more physically challenging yoga postures.  At times we incorporate yogic breath work and meditation. The practice as a whole is designed to build awareness and an overall mediative experience for the practitioner. Some experience with an active yoga practice can be helpful for this class.
