Yoga Nidra, sometimes called yogic sleep, uses breath awareness, body scan, guided visualization and other techniques to re-wire the entire nervous system by teaching you how to do nothing. It is deeply healing. 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 3 hours of sleep.
Yoga Nidra involves lying down in stillness. You could lie on your yoga mat, a couch or bed (keep in mind that the intention is NOT to fall asleep). It is important to be comfortable, so please gather your supplies before starting these recordings. You may want to have a small pillow for under your head, a small blanket to keep you warm, or a cover for your eyes. You may optionally use a "touch stone" for this series as well. This could be a small crystal or a stone from nature that calls to you. (A touch stone is not necessary however.)
This on demand series contains seven audio recordings: one for each chakra. Upon purchase, these recordings will be available in your Content Library on our website. Please note that these are recordings of live classes. You may occasionally hear external noises such as dogs parking or cars passing by.
