Spanish–American yoga teacher and artist Rachel Pérez has spent the last decade in her second home country—Madrid, Spain—her creative base. Over the past two years, she lived between Indonesia and India, exploring the deeper traditions of yoga while immersing herself in the cultures of Asia.
Rachel has completed over 700 hours of yoga training. She began her journey with a 200-hour Yoga certification at House of Om in Bali, followed by 100 hours in Myth and Mastery of Yoga at The Yoga Barn. She then traveled to India, where she completed an additional 400 hours of advanced training, including specialized studies in pre- and post-natal yoga. She spent the next few months traveling north to south India, diving even deeper into her practice, and felt called to return the next year to continue her path.
After many years abroad, Rachel is returning to her first home—Texas—to plant new roots. She is proud to open Asana Mood Yoga Studio in Galveston, Texas, a space dedicated to mindful movement, artistic expression, and the transformative power of yoga.
