This class concentrates on assisting youth in further developing physical and social skills through meaningful movement and the sport of boxing. Each session will include strength and conditioning followed by sport specific drills and partner work. At this age range, teens will partner with simulated contact by learning to master the art of focus pad work and body belts. Participants will demonstrate their progressive learning by sharing their training goals with the coaches who will in turn assist the youth in reaching them. Coaches will identify when a youth should consider shifting to include applied skills (contact level) or competitive stream. In this case you would be notified as we require additional protective equipment/time commitments.
