Country Western 2-Step & Line Dance

Dust off your boots and kick up your heels for our Country Western Two Step group class & line dance! 

This will be GCDC’s first of many themed class & parties on the last Friday of every month. You won’t want to miss this month’s featuring Guest Instructor Ron Jenkins who will be teaching lessons in 2-step and line dancing!

Ron has been a competitive ballroom dancer for 16 years. He and his dance partner, Photis (together known as “Photon”), have won numerous titles in California, the US and North America as well as internationally, including 11 Gold and 5 Silver medals. They have also competed in Latin, Country Western, and social dance categories. Ron also co-founded, directs, choreographs, and dances with Vima Vice Squad, an all male ballroom formation team, winning 9 Gold and 1 Silver medals since 2008 - and always a crowd favorite. Photon and VVS have performed in numerous shows and fundraisers over the years, including Sundance Stompede, April Follies, Ballroom Blitz, Dance for Another Day, Queer Tango and many others.

Ron has also been dancing country western for nearly 30 years, teaching regularly at Sundance Saloon in San Francisco as well as teaching private lessons, including 2-Step, Waltz, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing and line dances. He also danced with the Barbary Coast cloggers for 6 years.
