Description:
Manariwa roots in the Oceania word “mana” meaning power and a sense of inheritance, and Tagalog word “sariwa” meaning crisp and fresh, and refers to the gifts and qualities that are passed onto the next generation.
Manariwa brings together the many generations of our classes and our new dance company. Presenting an array of living stories that honor the places of Hawaiʻi, the Philippines, and the Inland Empire, we intend to inspire a communal vision of regeneration.
