Class length
60 minutes
Location
Active Health Yoga and Pilates (Shop 14)
This class is designed to run at a slow, steady pace, with postures held for longer periods to allow time for deep release and restoration. Yin focuses on the fascia and connective tissues, supporting joint mobility, flexibility and overall tissue health.
Movements are mostly floor-based and supported with props, creating space to soften muscular effort and encourage mindful awareness of breath and sensation. While physically gentle, the longer holds can create a strong and sometimes challenging stretch experience.
This class is suitable for a variety of skill levels, including beginners, and can complement strength-based training such as Reformer or Matwork Pilates and Vinyasa or Hatha Yoga. If you have an underlying condition or current injury, prior assessment is recommended before attending. Please notify your instructor of any modifications you may require prior to the start of class.
