An intense physical workout in your own home. Barre is a fitness class inspired by elements of ballet, yoga, and Pilates. It focuses on low-impact, high intensity movements designed to strengthen and tone your body in ways that few other workouts can. No complicated gear is necessary - you just need a kitchen chair with a back that's about waist high, and a yoga mat or blanket.
This week Chantal will focus on a glute and core workout to get your heart rate up, and build some sweat.
Chantal Robert-Desmarais is a dedicated movement enthusiast and Certified Barre Above Instructor. Since childhood, Chantal has been expressing herself through movement and her passion developed into a love of teaching and encouraging others. Her journey started as a young girl with big dreams of becoming a dancer and after many years of rigorous training she began to feel the need for a more injury free modality. After discovering Barre fitness, Chantal became hooked on the diversity and functionality of the various movements and continues to educate herself on new therapeutic training methods.
