Self-care for your spine workshop with gua sha, topicals and PT (for upper back, neck and jaw pain)
Join Melissa Belcher, Physical Therapist, and Bonnie Freitas, Acupuncturist, in this tag-teamed workshop designed to ease any upper back, neck and jaw pain. Melissa will cover how to ease and prevent chronic muscle tension by reducing head-forward posture. Bonnie will demonstrate gua sha and teach attendees how to use it on themselves and others at home. Participants will be paired up to practice on each other and on themselves.

- What is gua sha?
- A traditional East Asian medicinal technique using a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape different parts of the face and body. It aims to increase blood flow to painful areas (both acute and chronic conditions) by creating petechiae to appear (small, red dots).
