This 6 week series will teach some advanced principles in self-care especially for those in helping professions such as counselors, educators, social workers, health care workers, and first responders. Students will dive into mindfulness and meditation practice while enjoying the relaxing benefits of Restorative Yoga, a practice that uses reclining yoga poses and props to fully support relaxing stretches and breathing techniques. Students will learn to infuse these mindfulness practices into their daily lives to improve overall wellness, reduce stress and increase compassion for self and for others. No previous yoga experience required to enroll.
