On December 21, we stand at the doorway of the longest night of the year: the winter solstice. In the northern hemisphere, the solstice invites us to heed the wisdom of the dark while also turning our eyes towards the returning light. It is a moment to hold both the stark stillness of deep winter and the promise of renewal in the same palm.

For this intimate evening, singer-songwriter Alex Ammons will share songs and stories that explore the fullness of being, inviting you into your own wild everything-ness that holds light, dark, and all that lives between. She will share a combination of original music, covers, and threads of reflection to invite you into the complexity and wholeness of endings and beginnings.

Come in your cozies. Expect tea, candles, and to be wrapped in the warmth of community.

Alex Ammons is a Denver-based singer-songwriter whose work blends emotional precision and intimate vocals with an unflinching lyrical honesty. A combination of new Americana and mystical folk, Ammons’ songs offer a tender and occasionally wry chronicle of love, heartbreak, and the uneasy art of trusting our particular paths.
