Note: We expect Covid care protocols to evolve and change over the next year, so checking our website (www.blissnorth.com) regularly for the most up-to-date information will help you prepare for your class. In general, we will follow transmission rates in St. Lawrence County as determined by the health department. When transmission is low, we will practice unmasked. When it is medium to high, we will require that masks be worn for the duration of time in the studio. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. 

Standard format classes (whether remote or in-person) follow the traditional flow of  Svaroopa® Yoga.  Each class begins and ends with shavasana (yoga's relaxation pose) and a Guided Awareness. It also includes ujjayi pranayama (a vitality-enhancing breathing practice), and a sequence of poses designed to open your spine from top to bottom. We explore a particular theme for 4-6 weeks, beginning with simpler poses and sequences, and ending with more complex and/or challenging variations. Anyone is welcome in any class, but, if you like, your instructor can suggest a good start date for you based on your particular circumstances. 

This class is offered at the Northern Light Center at 595 Miner Street Road. We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes early so that your instructor can greet you and help you get set-up for our first activity. Our in-person classes include hands-on adjustments which take you deeper into pose angles, and release tension and pain. Please let your instructor know at the beginning of class, if, for any reason, you would prefer not to have hands-on adjustments. 

We have all the props you will need for class (mats, blankets, blocks, straps, eye pillows, knee pads and chairs) at the studio.
